Music and coffee have always gone hand in hand! Back in the 18th century, even Beethoven had his own coffee ritual – it’s said that he counted exactly 60 beans for each cup, because, apparently, otherwise the coffee just “wouldn’t measure up.”
Although, to be honest, it’s more of an anecdote his friends used to tell about him. :D
Beethoven would sometimes drop by Vienna’s cafes – sipping coffee, puffing on his pipe, and pondering his future masterpieces. Somehow, everything there, amid the wafting coffee steam and piano notes, would naturally fall into place as music. Or, more simply, end up exactly where it should be.
For example, Prince – yes, that very purple genius – was an absolute coffee fanatic. A cappuccino was almost permanently attached to his lips (did he even have a mustache?), without which his recording sessions simply couldn’t take off.

I must confess – like the great geniuses of the world, I too live with one hand on my coffee cup and the other on the music that inspires and energizes my day. And there’s no sin in that!
Not a sin at all, especially if you have yet to discover the joy of a delicious specialty coffee paired with the crackle of vinyl.
